welcome to warmness
Nikunjika is a project we created for our wonderful clients who wanted to recapture the feeling of their home in their village wada. Turning a high-rise apartment in Pune into this traditional, down-to-earth space was a special experience. This project reflects why we love what we do and reminds us of the importance of every detail in creating unique spaces.
the living area
A glimpse into the past, intertwined with an appreciation for the present, allows us to marvel at the exquisitely carved sagwaan wood in a window seat. This rich wood evokes nostalgia, transporting us back to a time when we’ve encountered it in classic films, elegant decorations, traditional wadas, and magnificent forts. Each piece of wood carries with it a narrative, a link to our history, and perhaps even to past lives.
This deep connection goes beyond mere aesthetics; it reflects humanity’s enduring relationship with craftsmanship. Whether it’s the intricate carvings of stone, the graceful designs of marble, or the warm beauty of wood, our ability to create and appreciate such artistry is embedded in our very DNA. As we admire the delicate engravings that adorn the window seating, we are invited to pause for a moment, merging our appreciation of the past with an enriched experience of the present, celebrating both the artistry of those who came before and the beauty around us now.
the tv unit
As you sink into the comfort of your Diwan-e-Khas sofa, the living area invites you to unwind and relish the simple pleasures of life—watching your favorite movies, savoring delicious meals, and cherishing precious moments with your family. This thoughtfully designed space for our client captures the grandeur reminiscent of a minister’s residence from a bygone era.
Central to this luxurious living area is an exquisite TV unit that does more than just display entertainment; it transports you to a realm of dreams and nostalgia. Its intricate carvings and mehrap-style panel serve as striking focal points, transforming the unit from mere decor into a unique conversation piece. This is no ordinary television; it is crafted to feel like a teleportation device, whisking you away to enchanting memories and experiences of the past.
Adding to the charm of the room is a stunning piece of rattan art, elegantly embedded in glass, seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Complementing this feature is a carefully designed storage console that enhances the overall aesthetic, ensuring that functionality does not compromise style. The use of pristine white marble harmonizes beautifully with the rich wooden elements throughout the space, creating a sophisticated contrast that captivates the eye.
Every detail in this living area has been meticulously curated to provide an ideal backdrop for spending time with your loved ones. Whether you’re engaging in heartfelt conversations, enjoying a nostalgic movie marathon, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, this enchanting environment promises to create lasting memories and allow you to drift back in time or simply revel in the joy of togetherness.
